Ultramarathon by Night Runners
Ultramarathon Egypt, an annual amateur sports competition organized by a running team of the same name and other major running clubs in Egypt, returns in 2023 for its new edition. This year, Night Runners will headline the list of organizers.
6-12-25-50 Ultramarathon 2023
Ultramarathon 2023 will host a new set of race categories consisting of 6, 12, 25, and 50-km races. In the past year, the event went from 20 KM to 100 KM. Athletes of all skill levels and nationalities can participate, but the organizers are encouraging amateur runners to build their portfolio and professional journey at the event.
Timing and Location
Ultramarathon 2023 will take place on January 20, 2023 at Wadi Degla Protectorate. The venue is a 12-km long canyon and desert land that serves as a protective area for the wildlife it houses. Wadi Degla Protectorate is only minutes away from Maadi, the suburban district in Cairo, so participants can reach the venue through various public or private transportation modes.

- Starter Ultra 6K – 400 EGP
- Intermediate Ultra 12K – 450 EGP
- Half Ultra 25K – 500 EGP
- Ultramarathon 50K – 600 EGP
About the Organizers
Ultramarathon Egypt is the official amateur sports team hosting the event, while Night Runners is an amateur sports club that focuses on triathlon and multi-sport beach races. They host, compete, and join beach races, weekly workouts, and even cleanup programs. Members of Night Runners mainly operate in Cairo, Egypt.
