The Saqqara Pyramid Race
The TriFactory’s Saqqara Pyramid Race, the highlight of the #RaceThroughHistory series, is back! Returning to the ancient Saqqara Necropolis on February 21, this event offers a unique opportunity to race alongside the 5,000-year-old Step Pyramid of Djoser.
Race Through History in Saqqara
Beyond the adrenaline-pumping race itself, the Saqqara Pyramid Race is an immersive experience of Egypt’s rich history. Participants can choose between two thrilling distances: a 5K and a 10K, each a one-lap course precisely timed using the MyLaps system. Whether you’re an experienced runner or a history enthusiast, the Saqqara Pyramid Race promises an exhilarating blend of physical challenge and cultural immersion.
Upon completion, each runner will be awarded a finisher’s medal. The race features rankings for various age groups, as well as overall categories for runners of all skill levels. The top three male and female finishers in the overall category will receive special prizes.
Timing and Location
Saqqara Pyramid Race’s historic run is scheduled for Friday, February 21st, 2025, at the world-renowned Saqqara Necropolis. This event centers around the Djoser Pyramid, a testament to ancient ingenuity and the oldest known monumental masonry structure in the world.

- 8:00 am 5K & 10K Races Start
- 9:30 am Awards Ceremony
