Somabay Endurance Festival

The Trifactory announced the comeback of its multi-sport event for a new edition of friendly competition and celebration. The 2025 edition of The Somabay Endurance Festival is set this May.

Multi-Sports Celebration at Somabay

The Somabay Endurance Festival has become an annual sports tradition in Egypt, thanks to the efforts of The Trifactory and the local sports community. Returning for another year and another edition, the festival will once again offer competitions and activities suitable for athletes of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to professional competitors. The new edition for 2025 features the list of classic multi-sport distances hosted by The Trifactory since 2014, including the Sprint, Supersprint, and Olympic distances.

Here’s the list of available distances for each age group:

Supersprint Distance (Ages 12+, Individual)

• Biathle – 350M open-water swim, 100m run to transition
• Cycle – 10KM bike
• Run – 2.5KM run
• Shoot – 5 rounds of laser pistol shooting from a 10m distance

Sprint Distance (Ages 14+, Individual & Relay)

• Biathle – 750M open-water swim, 100m run to transition
• Cycle – 20KM bike
• Run – 5KM run
• Shoot – 5 rounds of laser pistol shooting from a 10m distance

Olympic Distance (Ages 16+, Individual & Relay)

• Biathle – 1500M open-water swim, 100m run to transition
• Cycle – 40KM bike
• Run – 10KM run
• Shoot – 5 rounds of laser pistol shooting from a 10m distance

Youth Race (Ages 8-12, Individual)

• Biathle – 100M open-water swim, 100m run to transition
• Cycle – 4KM bike
• Run – 1KM run
• Shoot – 5 rounds of laser pistol shooting from a 10m distance

10K Race (Ages 14+, Individual)

• 10KM run

1K Kids Race (Ages 5-8, Untimed Family Race)

• 1KM run

Timing and Location

The 2025 edition of the Somabay Endurance Festival will take place from May 29 to June 31 at Somabay Marina, the popular holiday destination in the Red Sea. The venue is strategically situated on the eastern shores of Egypt on the Red Sea coast, just 20 minutes by car from Hurghada International Airport and only a 4-hour flight away from Central Europe.
