Conquering the Peaks
This three-day escapade is a chance to embrace the spirit of exploration, connect with fellow adventurers, and leave footprints on both peaks and memories. Scrambling the Red Mountain isn’t just about conquering physical heights; it’s about embracing the intangible thrill of exploration.
Newbies and skilled hikers are welcome to join and enjoy the following inclusions:
- Transportation to and from Cairo
- 2 nights of camping in St. Catherine Mountain
- 1 night of camping in Nuweiba (Utopia) or similar
- All meals specified in the itinerary

Timing and Location
Trekklers’ Scrambling the Red Mountain is set for September 21 to 23. The meeting point is in Cairo, but upon arrival in the Red Mountain, you will be accommodated in St. Catherine and Nuweiba.

Day 1: Conquering the Red Mountain
- Expedition begins at “Abu Cheefa,” the starting point.
- Trail winds through rugged terrain to “Al Shag,” a midway rest point.
- Thrilling scramble to the summit of the iconic Red Mountain.
- Leisurely rest and delightful picnic atop the peak.
- Commence descent as the sun sets; return to “Al Shag.”
- Campfire
Day 2: Homeward Bound and Unforgettable Night in Nuweiba
- Trail back to the city; reflection and appreciation for nature.
- Transition from mountains to the tranquil shores of Nuweiba.
- Night of camping at “Utopia” or similar site
- Campfire.
Day 3: A Farewell to Sinai
- Last leg of journey takes us back to Cairo
- Bid adieu to the enchanting Sinai region.

The registration fee for Scrambling the Red Mountain is 3,600 EGP, and it already includes all transportation fees, accommodations, camping needs, all meals mentioned in the trip, permits, and local guides.
