Marakez Pyramids Half Marathon
For the sixth year in a row, The TriFactory proudly presents the Marakez Pyramids Half Marathon. This flagship race invites runners from around the world to #RaceThroughHistory at the iconic Great Pyramids of Giza. Featuring 5K, 10K, and 21K distances, this event caters to runners of all ages and abilities.
Race Through History
The Marakez Pyramids Half Marathon offers an authentic experience with three distances: 5K (Fun Run), 10K, and 21K. Runners can enjoy the stunning backdrop of the ancient pyramids, navigating rolling hills and inclines, especially in the 10K and half marathon routes.
The minimum age required for the 21.1K race is 14 years old, while the 5K and 10K races will accept athletes who are at least 8 and 12 years old, respectively. All participants will utilize the MyLaps automatic timing system.
All participants will receive a finisher’s medal after the race. Meanwhile, the top three overall winners for each category will receive special prizes. The individual Trifactory rankings will be organized into age group categories.
Timing and Location
The Marakez Pyramids Half Marathon 2024 will take place at the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids of Giza, showcases world-renowned landmarks from Pharaonic times. The complex includes the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, as well as the Great Sphinx and surrounding structures for the Pharaohs’ families. The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the last remaining Wonder of the Ancient World.
The race is set for December 14. The Trifactory confirmed that the Marakez Pyramids Half Marathon 2024 will be a three-day event featuring the actual marathon, multisport festivals, and camps. Here’s the complete list of events laid down by the organizer:

Registration Information
Registration for the Marakez Pyramids Half Marathon is open online. Head to this link to register, read the terms and conditions, and finalize payment. The registration is in phases. Tickets will increase in price as the event draws nearer. Here are the registration phases:
