One Run 2024 by the Trifactory
Trifactory’s new One Run event brings together athletes and enthusiasts from around the world—to introduce a unique running race at sunset at the last remaining Wonder of the Ancient World, the Great Pyramids of Giza.
Sunset Sprint at the Great Pyramids
One Run offers a variety of distances to accommodate all levels of runners, including 1K, 5K, 10K, and a challenging 21K half marathon. All runners will have a full three hours, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, to complete their race.
The race course is designed to showcase the breathtaking beauty and grandeur of the ancient pyramids, with routes winding through the Giza Plateau. Participants can expect a few rolling hills and inclines, adding to the excitement and challenge, particularly in the 21K race.
Minimum Age Requirements:
- 1K Race: 5 years old
- 5K Race: 8 years old
- 10K Race: 12 years old
- 21K Half Marathon: 16 years old
Timing and Location
The race unfolds on May 19 across the historic Giza Plateau, where the three majestic pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure stand tall. Runners will navigate a course that is both scenic and challenging, incorporating rolling hills and varied terrain. This unique setting provides not only a test of physical endurance but also a journey through thousands of years of history.
Timetable:
- 3:30 – 4:30 pm Arrival of all runners & check-in
- 4:50 pm – Final call to the Start Line
- 5:00 pm – 1K, 5K, 10K, & 21K Start
- 7:30 pm – Awards Ceremony
- 8:00 pm – Final cut-off time
