Olympic Day Run
On June 28, Palm Hills Club in New Cairo will swap its usual weekend rhythm for something a little more electric: the pattern of sneakers and a community lacing up for something bigger than just a run! The TriFactory’s Olympic Day Run returns, and it’s shaping up to be more than just a 5K jog.
Running With Purpose
This month, The TriFactory is joining forces with Palm Hills Sports Club and the Egyptian Athletes Committee, led by Olympic gold medalist Ahmed El Gendy, to bring the Olympic Day Run to life. Participants will get the rare opportunity to meet Egypt’s Olympic stars through Meet & Greet sessions, Q&As, photo ops, and interviews. Whether you’re a lifelong sports fan or just looking for a meaningful way to move, this is a chance to run alongside champions, and maybe even snap a selfie with them at the finish line.
The featured distance is a 5K untimed run, open to all participants aged 8 and above. There’s no need to qualify, no need to be fast—just a willingness to show up and join in. Every runner will receive a race number before setting off and a premium finisher’s medal once they cross the line.
Timing and Location
The Olympic Day Run will take place on Saturday, June 28 at Palm Hills Club in New Cairo.
Here’s the event schedule:
- 4:00 PM – Check-in opens, runners collect race numbers and gear
- 4:30 PM – Meet & Greet with Olympians
- 5:00 PM – 5K Olympic Day Run begins
- 6:00 PM onward – Interviews, Q&As, and photo sessions with Olympic athletes
Registration Information
General registration for the Olympic Day Run is open from Wednesday, June 4th to Monday, June 23rd, with a registration fee of EGP 500 for the 5K run. To secure your spot, visit the official website and complete your registration before the deadline.
