32nd Egyptian Marathon in Luxor

Run Through Egypt’s History
The Egyptian Marathon is the oldest ongoing marathon in Africa and the Middle East. It has been held regularly for over three decades now, always welcoming athletes from all walks of life and introducing the historical landmarks of Egypt. The 32nd edition will offer four major race courses and categories for runners. Athletes categorized under the Male, Female, Open, and Masters division categories can join any of the four courses:
- Marathon (AIMS measure – 42.195 KM)
- LuxorRun (22.289 KM)
- Ramsis Run & Walk (12.336 KM)
- Hatshepsut Run & Walk (5 KM)
The 32nd Egyptian Marathon is accredited by the Abbott World Marathon Majors, so participants can collect points to be included in future Major Marathons events on top of their physical awards on site. Additionally, every participant will receive the following:
- A commemorative T-shirt and bag.
Access to an automated tracking system.
Stunning finisher medals at the finish line.
Exceptional organization, support, and photography throughout the race.
An official certificate of completion.
Timing and Location
The 32nd Egyptian Marathon is set to grace Luxor, Egypt’s most illustrious city, on January 10, 2025. This extraordinary event commences at the venerable temple of Queen Hatshepsut and winds its way through a captivating journey, encompassing several ancient landmarks, including the temple of Habou, the temple of Amenophis, the iconic Colossi of Memnon, and numerous other historical treasures.
