The Cairo Marathon is more than just a race – it’s a celebration of community, determination, and the joy of active living. This year, Cairo Runners offers a range of distances to suit every runner and walker:

• 21 KM (Half Marathon) – For experienced runners seeking a challenging half marathon experience through the heart of Cairo.
• 10 KM Run – Perfect for those aiming to push their limits, set a personal best, or enjoy a fast-paced city run.
• 5 KM Fun Run – A relaxed, scenic run ideal for beginners, students, and anyone who wants to enjoy the event atmosphere.
• Family Run – A special, non-competitive category designed for families to bond over a healthy and active day out together.

Event Details

The Cairo Marathon 2026 will take place on Friday, 6 February 2026. Races start early in the morning, allowing runners to enjoy Cairo’s streets in the crisp, cool air of February. Exact start times and detailed route maps will be shared closer to the event date, highlighting a mix of scenic and historic landmarks that showcase the city’s unique charm.

In the days leading up to the marathon, runners are invited to attend The Hub, a 3-day pre-event expo running from 3–5 February 2026. The Hub will be the main venue for race kit collection and will feature sponsor booths, running gear, nutrition stands, and fun activities for the whole family. It’s also the perfect place to connect with the running community, meet fellow participants, and get race-day tips from experts.

The route will pass through key areas of Cairo, combining wide avenues and scenic spots, with clear signage and support stations along the way. Detailed maps and elevation profiles will be published on the official website and app in the weeks before race day.
