OCEANMAN, the premier organizer of global open-water swimming competitions, will host its El Gouna edition in Egypt this October. OCEANMAN promises to be a remarkable celebration of the sport, bringing together athletes from around the world in a breathtaking setting.

OCEANMAN El Gouna 2024 offers five categories: OCEANMAN (10KM), Half-OCEANMAN (5KM), Sprint (1.5 KM), OceanKids (500m), OceanTeams (3x500m), and OceanFins (1.5 KM).

To take part in the OCEANMAN, Half OCEANMAN, and Sprint categories, participants have to earn a qualification slot either by participating in OCEANMAN 2024 races around the world or qualifying in the top 10 of the OCEANMAN in any age category—Inspiration (swimmers with disabilities greater than 33%), Junior (14-19), and Master (20 to 60+).

For OceanKids, male and female swimmers from 7 to 14 years of age can join. For OceanTeams, male, female, or mixed groups from 12 years of age can join. And lastly, for OceanFins, participants from any age group is welcome to join.

The event will award the top 3 positions and prize money for the overall male and female categories and another top 3 for each male and female category in OCEANMAN, Half OCEANMAN, and Sprint categories. All other participating swimmers, meanwhile, will get a finisher medal.

OCEANMAN is the first and most prominent organizer of global open-water swimming competitions. The first competition was born on the island of Cozumel, Mexico, in 2016. From North America, OCEANMAN hosted inspiring competitions on six more continents.
